BELLAIRE — Edward D. Tatur, 83, of Bellaire, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at home.
He was born August 18, 1919, in Sumner Township, Wis., the son of Walter and Elizabeth (Senyk) Tatur.
He was a graduate of the Stout Institute in Wisconsin an served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a designer and design director for the L.A. Darling Company of Bronson for 25 years followed by 20 years for the Syndicate Glass Company of Middlebury, Ind., retiring in 1988.
He moved to Bellaire from Sturgis in 1986 and, following his retirement, he founded the Tatur-Bilt Wooden Toys and Such with his wife Alice.
On May 15, 1965, in Woodville, Ohio, he married Alice L. Morgan who survives. Also surviving are two daughters; two sisters, Theresa (Daniel) Doughty of Eau Claire, Wis., and Mary Perkovich of Ladysmith, Wis.; he will be sadly missed by his niece Peggy (Thomas) Miller of Lambertville, and their three daughters, Angela, Julie and Christina, who loved their Grandpa Ed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; a sister, Cecelia Tatur; and three brothers, Leo, Stanley and John.
To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
